January 2019 Team Challenge Results are in!

If you remember, back in January, we challenged our running club members to a Team Challenge! This is a great challenge as it pushes ladies out of their comfort zone by running or sharing their running achievements with a team of 9 other women.  Well, the results are in and what can we say? Our members slayed January!



For the entire month of January, these ladies pushed themselves to hit new goals. We had ladies with their first month of 100 miles, first time 5Kers, those that streaked the entire month and so much more. We even had a member run her first marathon as part of the Dopey experience-AMAZING! Most importantly, we saw a community of like-minded women from different backgrounds come together to support one another on their running journeys--this is the true spirit of Moms Run This Town/She Runs This Town.

After the challenge was over, we met at Roosters in Middletown to celebrate as one large team.  We awarded prizes for our team with the top mileage AND gave out some individual and team awards to a few special ladies that really shined during this challenge.  We cannot be more proud of our members and the hard work they put in every day. They continue to inspire and motivate us daily.

February Challenge

MRTT SRTT February Challenge


Welcome to the February Challenge Event!! For new members, every month we host a challenge to help keep us motivated to reach our goals. Many individuals are preparing for spring races and increasing mileage each week. What better way to keep the momentum going than a STREAK!

You asked, and we heard you!! February challenge is a fun challenge that can be adapted to fit everyone’s unique goals and needs! The goal is to complete a minimum of one mile every day. That’s right. One mile. Every day. One mile running, walking, biking, swimming, rowing, elliptical, stair-stepper…or any variation of cardio in which mileage can be calculated. 

Since February is also a month of love, we also encourage you post a daily picture/comment of something you LOVE. Something you love about yourself, something you love about a fellow MRTT/SRTT member, something you love about running…anything! Do not feel like you have to post every day…you can post your progress daily or weekly. We want to cheer you on!

Do not want to do the 1 mile streaking challenge? No worries...join in the challenge, post your monthly mileage goal and report to us regularly on how it’s going. Please track your own mileage and update your miles in your post. Make the challenge work for you! The most important thing is to remember to run with JOY!
